Dear PX student/participant

I would like to give you all warm welcome to PX20 (also PX20/21, PX20-21 or plain PX), which has now started. I hope that the course will meet your needs and that you'll enjoy it!

Over the next two weeks we will be giving you time to familiarise yourselves with the learning methods used in PX and how to navigate the course. You will be able to test your skills in the first section on protein structure. We also give you an overview of protein crystallography in flowchart format.

Course Index, identifier and password

You can start by checking the Course Index http://px19.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/px/course/course.htm which you will first have entered vi the course moodle site. Certain areas are (partially) open and public as indicated by the grey buttons. To get access to the restricted areas where the course material resides (indicated by the purple buttons), you will need an individual identifier and password. To obtain these you have to read and submit the license form for the course material http://px19.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/px/course/copyform.htm which is accessible from the notice board. You will then get identifier and password, usually within 24 hours. You will need to use these once per browser session.

Notice Board

Please check here for the latest information. E-mail's sometimes go astray! The notice board can be entered via http://px19.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/px/course/notice.htm. Today it gives pointers to releases 1 and 2 and is again accessible from the course moodle site. All new releases will be announced via the moodle news forum with direct links to the associated notice board entry. Please ensure that you reload this page every time you look at it when you are using the cache of your browser.

Enrolment and Financial

Please ensure that you have completed your enrolment (including payment) before the December 2nd deadline if you have not done so yet. Thanks.
